Successful second Norwegian stakeholder meeting
map of Norway made up of many people

The Norwegian National Stakeholder Committee met for the second time on 29 April 2021.

The purpose of the meeting was to give the stakeholders an update on the development of the project and get their comments on the first research results from EUROSHIP. Furthermore, the OsloMet team wanted to discuss with the NSC members practical and substantive questions related to the lifecourse interviews.

Even if the group was prevented from meeting in person this time due to the prevailing Covid-19 restrictions, this did not stop the stakeholders providing highly constructive and valuable feedback on several aspects of the project. The NSC members offered encouraging comments along with constructive criticism and questions  to the Norwegian ‘EUROSHIP standardised country report on national social protection system’.

The OsloMet EURSHIP team also received concrete recommendations concerning the framing of several of the topics in the interview guide and the participant recruitment strategy. The Norwegian Federation of Organisations of Disabled People, the Norwegian Children and Youth Council, The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises and EAPN Norway offered to help with the recruitment of interviewees.

Represented stakeholders: the Norwegian Federation of Organisations of Disabled People (FFO), the Norwegian Children and Youth Council (LNU), Norwegian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises (NHO), the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO), Welfare Alliance/EAPN Norway.

Present from OsloMet: Prof Rune Halvorsen, Dr Mi Ah Schoyen and Kaarina Ritson
