We are delighted to present our brand new animation film. The film provides information about the reasons for poverty in Europe today and what we can to close the gaps in social rights and social citizenship.
The film draws on the findings from the EUROSHIP life-course interviews conducted with women and men who have experienced economic hardship and social exclusion in seven European countries. The film illustrates some of the challenges different groups at risk poverty and social exclusion (single parent households, persons with disabilities, workers in low wage sectors, unemployed persons) experience. The film contextualises their situation the a backdrop of the ongoing cost of living and energy crises in Europe. Finally, the film suggests possible policy solutions for the EU and Member States to promote full and effective social citizenship for all.
The video was created by the OsloMet and Social Platform teams in EUROSHIP in close collaboration with Belgian production company Epic Frame.
